3D perspective on your items
Spectasia was built to simplify searching for files on your Mac. The application showcases items in a 3D view, which proves particularly impressive on big screens.
When launched for the first time, Spectasia is in Gadget Mode, which is way too small to properly use the app. Hover your cursor to the top right to turn it into 'Exploration Mode', simply a larger screen. This should allow you to notice the features at the bottom, like the search box or the number of items placed on the 3D board. Unfortunately there is no real clue as to what the other features are, and clicking on any of them doesn't give any more details. You'll have to go through the help for more guidance.
The 3D board itself is an interesting alternative to the Finder. All items are immediately visible, though you should avoid having too many items on it, so as not to overcrowd the board. You can normally add and remove items from it, but you'll have to once again check the guide to learn how to.
Spectasia is an original 3D launcher, but it appears a little to rough around the edges and a little bit unintuitive. Let's hope the full release will be a little more polished.
Completely re-designed graphics, a tiny rock-solid code base, plus smoother & faster animation.
